Plain City, Dublin, and the surrounding NE region of Central Ohio, are home to abundant, diverse natural environments and land that contains a rich tradition of agricultural use. Within these spaces, beautiful parks, accessible trails, and art installations have been constructed to celebrate and call attention to some of the most important natural resources in Central Ohio, as well as the Native American tribes that first inhabited these lands. This mural design, titled Rich Lands, aims to commemorate this beautiful and historically-rich area with 5 panels that each display a specific structure or art installation that inhabits these spaces. Composed of vivid and harmonious colors, this design conveys an uplifting and inviting presence to those visiting the new Kroger supermarket. The dynamic compositions and stylistic views represented in each panel blend foreground & background, serving to express the seamless integration between these structures & sculptures with their environment. The resulting design acknowledges the care and intention that took place when developing and installing these forms in relation to the surrounding space they inhabit.
