The stories and experiences that shape Nomad’s menu come from the owner’s personal experience traveling the globe and sampling unique food from different cultures. This mural represents the collaged story of the Nomadic traveller. Executed in a style reminiscent of the bohemian, and often nomadic, abstract expressionist movement of the 1960’s and 70’s, the surface includes a variety of objects, motifs, and symbols that express the feelings and mindset of the traveler: global currency, a bicycle wheel, maps, a suitcase, and a Jack Kerouac quote, to name just a few.
